So says this wacky test, which is discussed in great detail in this blog post.
It's completely freaking me out. I cannot for the life of me manage to see the dancer spinning counter clockwise. At all. And the fact that "most" people supposedly see it that way is totally doing the freaking out part.
OK, I saw this video over at Gawker.com, and loved it so much I had to pass it on. It may be completely boring if you're not a fan of Les Miserables. I don't know if I'm exactly a fan now, but I listened to it so many times in college (woohoo! party!) that the words are forever embedded in my brain, and I completely understand the desire to sing much of it very! intensely! As is done, here. This both made me tear up with laughter, and also think, hey, they're pretty good.
Desiknitter's been linking to youtube videos of songs she loves, and I've been enjoying them. And she made me wonder what else is out there in the wacky world of youtube.
So first I wondered about some Soviet film clips. I was looking for the big song and dance number involving a fake Ivan the Terrible, but didn't find it.
I did, though, find a cartoon I've been wanting to see again. I remember watching this the year I lived in Russia, in Moscow, at a friend's apartment, I think on a lazy weekend afternoon. I have no memory of why we were sitting around watching tv, and I have a hazy memory of Pretty Woman being on, too, and watching some of that.
But best was this cartoon, odd as it was. And, now I know, award-winning! Must be why it stuck with me. Actually, it's the bit in the forest that really stuck with me.
This is what happens when I stay at the office late and get a little slaphappy. Photo Booth, you are too tempting (and you make a damned fine mirror, I've got to say).
